Saturday 29th September 2007, 11am

By popular demand this years fun day will once again be held at Escot near Exeter. The location may be the same but the programm is bigger and wetter than ever before. This year we are playing pooh sticks with a difference, twigs are out and logs are in. Can your team float thier giant pooh stick down the river and under the bridge? There is only one way to find out.

Also by popular request there will be a saturday night bivvy for everyone. This is the only part of the event which MUST be booked in advance.

Entrance to the Funday is £5 per person (under 3s are free), £7 if you are staying for the bivvy. You will need to bring a packed lunch, full change of clothes and shoes which you can wear in the river.

The Bivvy will be held overnight on Saturday 29th after the fun day.

A bivvy involves sleeping out in the woods, making your own shelters and cooking your own food over a camp fire.

This year it will be for all ages, although under 8s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Other groups should have the usual ratio of children to leaders. All adults must be members of the Woodcraft Folk.

You will need to bring all your own food and equipment with you, and you will need to be able to carry it with you up to the woods.

Booking for the bivvy is essential. Email Mike Atkinson at escotbivvy@southewstwoodcraft.org.uk to book and for information on joining the Woodcraft Folk
