Career and Education

I got my degree from the University of Warwick in 1999. If you remember the chart single I was one of those ladies and gentlemen of the class of '99, in fact I was even if you don't that doesn't change anything. Nethertheless after three years of uni. I was very glad to accept a job with STMicroelectronics in Bristol.

If you find this rather brief resume just a little disappointing let me point out that I am quite happy to be employed by ST. Should this ever change I expect you would see quite a shocking change to this part of my page (like a CV and plenty of blowing upon my own trumpet).

Friends

Dispite being a fully paid up (bearded) computer geek and not being the most social of individuals I have managed to amass one or two friends over the years. Therefore I should like, if I may, to introduce those of my friends that have made the effort the eek out their own little corner of cyber-space.

Finally I should like to say hi to Ben, Kate, Helen, James, Nadia, Ian, Matt, Bert and Pete. If any of you read this then send me a e-mail to say so. If you get a homepage then really drop me a note to say so.

Projects

My life sometimes appear to be awash with a hundred different unfinished and occasionally unstarted projects. This list is my personal list of shame, those projects I have conceived of but never brought to fruition. These are placed here to try and spur me into some action!

  • Orcham Racing
A racing game combining best of breed of all the Amiga and SNES car games ever. This nearly got of the ground on a Macintosh, now it awaits revival under GNU/Linux.
Update: This is back in action in the form of TDR
  • PIC powered Lego mobile robot
This is on hold until I can afford more technic motors (and work out how to get the PIC to auto-calibrate itself to different motors, have you ever tried to get a Lego turtle to go in a straight line?)
